Tuymec Minoxidil Hair Growth Kits, 5% Minoxidil with Biotin Spray recall: The hair serum contains minoxidil, which must be in child-resistant packaging
The hair serum contains minoxidil, which must be in child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The hair serum's packaging is not…

The hazard: Child-resistant packaging failure
This recall is about a cap or closure a child can open. That matters because the contents are hazardous if swallowed in quantity.
What the notice says: The hair serum contains minoxidil, which must be in child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The hair serum's packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
Why it matters: The packaging does not meet the child-resistant standard the Poison Prevention Packaging Act requires for this type of product. A young child can open it, and the contents are harmful if swallowed.
Symptoms and when to call a doctor
If a child has swallowed any of the contents, call Poison Control on 1-800-222-1222 straight away — before searching online, and before trying to make them sick. Have the container with you so you can read the ingredients and strength. Call 911 instead if the child is drowsy, having a seizure, struggling to breathe or unconscious.

What to do about Packaging
This recall is about a cap or closure a child can open. That matters because the contents are hazardous if swallowed in quantity.
- Move the product somewhere a child genuinely cannot reach — a high, locked cupboard rather than a high shelf.
- Check whether you have other packs from the same lot in a bathroom cabinet or a garage.
- Do not decant it into another container, especially not a drinks bottle or a food jar.
- Save the Poison Control number, 1-800-222-1222, into your phone now rather than looking for it in an emergency.
How the remedy works
CPSC recalls specify one of three remedies, and which one you get is not negotiable — but how smoothly it goes often is.
- A refund means the purchase price back, sometimes prorated by age for durable goods. Ask how they calculated it if the figure looks low.
- Several recalls now ask you to destroy the item and send a photo as proof. Register the claim before you do that, never after.
- Return shipping is the company’s cost. If you are asked to pay it, push back.
- A repair kit is shipped free and is designed to be fitted at home; if you cannot fit it, ask whether they will arrange installation.
Remedy named in the notice: Consumers should secure the recalled serum bottles out of sight and reach of children immediately and contact DrHealBeauty for a free empty replacement bottle with a child-resistant closure into which consumers should transfer the recalled bottle's contents.
Company contact: DrHealBeauty collect at 209-886-4335 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, email at [email protected] or online at drhealbeauty.com and click "Recall Details" at the top of the page for more information.
