Quest Cat Food Chicken Recipe Freeze Dried Nuggets, 10oz bag

What the company announced

Cottonwood Heights, Utah (February 17, 2026) Go Raw LLC is voluntarily recalling a single lot of Quest Cat Food Chicken Recipe Freeze Dried Nuggets, 10oz bag, lot code #C25288, Best Buy Date 10/15/2027, because it may contain low levels of thiamine (Vitamin B1).

Cats fed diets low in thiamine over time may be at risk for developing a thiamine deficiency. Thiamine is essential for cats.

Symptoms of deficiency in an affected cat can be gastrointestinal or neurological. Early signs of thiamine deficiency may include decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, failure to grow, and weight loss.

In advanced cases, neurological signs may develop, including ventroflexion (bending towards the floor) of the neck, mental dullness, vision changes, wobbly walking, circling, falling, and seizures.

Contact your veterinarian immediately if your cat is displaying any of these symptoms. If treated promptly, thiamine deficiency is typically reversible.

The recalled product was distributed nationwide through retail stores in the following states: CO, UT, WA, OR, PA, RI, MI, CA, TX, and IL.

What to do about Food safety

Quest — The notice above sets out the specific concern. Whatever the cause, the practical answer with food is the same: stop eating it and claim the refund.

  1. Stop eating it and check the codes on your pack against the identifiers listed on this page.
  2. If anyone is unwell after eating it, call a clinician and mention the recall by name.
  3. Bag it and bin it, or return it to the store for a refund.
  4. Wash anything it touched, and clean the shelf it was stored on if the pack has leaked.

How to get your money back

Food recalls carry a full refund, and in the United States you usually do not need the receipt or the packaging.

  • Take the product, or your photo of the label, to the customer service desk of the store where you bought it. Nearly every national grocer refunds recalled food on the spot.
  • Bought it online? Open the order in your account and use the refund option; marketplace sellers are required to honour a federal recall.
  • If the store refuses, contact the recalling company using the details on this page. The firm, not the shop, carries the cost of a recall.
  • If you have a loyalty card, the retailer can look the purchase up in your history — Kroger, Costco and Walmart all do this routinely.

Remedy named in the notice: Consumers who have purchased the affected product should stop feeding it and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
