Clorox Puerto Rico 6 Million Scented Mistolin and Lestoil Multi-Purpose Cleaners recall: Risk of Exposure to Bacteria
Risk of Exposure to Bacteria

The hazard: Product safety hazard
The notice above names the hazard. CPSC recalls are issued because someone can be hurt, not because the product underperforms.
What the notice says: The recalled products may contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which is an environmental organism found widely in soil and water. People with weakened immune systems or external medical devices who are exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria.
Why it matters: The CPSC published this recall because the product can injure someone. The hazard statement above describes how.

What to do about Product safety
Clorox Puerto Rico — The notice above names the hazard. CPSC recalls are issued because someone can be hurt, not because the product underperforms.
- Stop using the product and move it somewhere a child or pet cannot reach it.
- Follow the remedy the notice specifies, and register the claim before you destroy anything.
- If the product already hurt someone, file a report at SaferProducts.gov.
- Check the model number and date code against the identifiers on this page, and photograph them.
Claiming your refund, repair or replacement
The recalling company decides the remedy and funds it. You should never pay for a recall repair or for return shipping.
- Use the company contact on this page first. Most firms run a dedicated recall page with a claim form that is far quicker than their main support line.
- No receipt? Say so. Recall refunds are routinely paid without proof of purchase, because the hazard is what triggers the obligation.
- If you bought it from a retailer rather than the brand, try both. Target, Walmart and Amazon often refund recalled goods from the order history.
- If the company stops responding, escalate to the CPSC. Firms under a recall order have reporting duties to the agency.
Remedy named in the notice: Consumers should stop using the recalled cleaners immediately. Consumers will be asked to register at https://mistolinrecall.expertinquiry.com/ and submit a picture of the 12-digit UPC code printed on the label and a picture of the date code printed on the side of the bottle and dispose of the product in its container with household trash. Consumers registering bottles in the affected scents with date codes printed on the bottle beginning with PR01 and followed by a five-digit number between 25091 and 26168 will receive a full refund of the purchase price, with receipt or of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, without receipt.
Company contact: Clorox Puerto Rico toll-free at 855-215-5439 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, email at [email protected] or online at www.mistolinrecall.com or https://puerto-rico.mistolin.co/ and click on “Recall Information” at the bottom of the page for more information.
