What is wrong
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Lone Star Vans built on Ram ProMaster chassis. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the rearview camera image not to display properly.
The risk
A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Why rear-view camera defects matter: If the rear image is missing, delayed or distorted, the driver may not see a person or object behind the vehicle.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect the rearview camera. Forest River will work with Ram to replace a damaged review camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 9, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 82-2089 and Ram's number for this recall is 60C.
About the rear-view camera
The rear visibility system shows the area behind the vehicle when reverse is selected; it has to appear quickly and stay clear.

Check by VIN
A campaign rarely covers every vehicle of a model year. Enter your 17-character VIN to find the recall campaigns filed for your make, model and model year. The VIN is on the driver’s side of the dashboard (visible through the windshield), on the door-jamb label, and on your registration and insurance documents.
Is a recall still open on your vehicle? Only NHTSA’s official VIN check can say whether a campaign applies to your exact vehicle and whether the repair has already been done.
Your VIN is decoded with NHTSA’s public vPIC service to identify the make, model and year. It is not stored and is not added to any page address.
