What is wrong
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
The risk
A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.
Why brake defects matter: Brake defects can show up as a soft or hard pedal, a warning lamp, a leak or longer stops — or with no warning at all.
The remedy
Dealers will replace the 5/8” air line with a 3/4” air line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26506.
About the brakes
Service brake campaigns cover the hydraulic, air or electric brake system: master cylinder, lines and hoses, calipers, the ABS module and, on newer vehicles, brake-by-wire software.

Check by VIN
A campaign rarely covers every vehicle of a model year. Enter your 17-character VIN to find the recall campaigns filed for your make, model and model year. The VIN is on the driver’s side of the dashboard (visible through the windshield), on the door-jamb label, and on your registration and insurance documents.
Is a recall still open on your vehicle? Only NHTSA’s official VIN check can say whether a campaign applies to your exact vehicle and whether the repair has already been done.
Your VIN is decoded with NHTSA’s public vPIC service to identify the make, model and year. It is not stored and is not added to any page address.
